Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now a Romanian/German actress. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already secured a number of TV roles which included the leading role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. This includes the British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being a jury member at both and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
